Frequently Asked Questions

How do I create an account?

Creating an account is quick and easy. Open the RackStar app at app.rackstar.app and click the "Sign in" button. You can sign in using your Google account or your Microsoft account. No separate registration is needed -- your account is created automatically on your first sign-in.

Can I use multiple login methods?

Currently, each account is linked to a single authentication provider (either Google or Microsoft). If you sign in with a different provider, a separate account will be created. We recommend consistently using the same login method to keep all your game data in one place.

How do I delete my account?

To delete your account and all associated data, please send a request to support@rackstar.app from the email address linked to your account. We will process your deletion request within 30 days. This action is permanent and cannot be undone -- all game history, statistics, and profile data will be removed.

Is the app free?

Yes, RackStar is completely free to use. All features, including real-time scoring, leaderboards, game nights, push notifications, and statistics, are available at no cost. There are no premium tiers, in-app purchases, or hidden fees.

Which devices are supported?

RackStar is a Progressive Web App (PWA), which means it works on virtually any device with a modern web browser. This includes:

  • Android - Chrome, Edge, and other Chromium-based browsers. You can install RackStar to your home screen for a native app experience.
  • iOS / iPadOS - Safari (iOS 16.4+). You can add RackStar to your home screen via the Share menu.
  • Windows, macOS, Linux - Chrome, Edge, and other modern browsers. You can install it as a desktop app.

For the best experience, we recommend using the latest version of Chrome or Edge, and installing the app to your home screen or desktop.

How do push notifications work?

When you enable push notifications, RackStar can alert you about game invitations, turn reminders, and game results even when the app is not open. You will be prompted to allow notifications on your first visit. You can change this setting at any time in your browser or device notification settings.

Note: Push notification support varies by device and browser. Android with Chrome offers the most reliable experience. iOS supports push notifications for installed PWAs starting from iOS 16.4.

Can I use RackStar offline?

RackStar has limited offline support. The app interface will load from cache when you are offline, but most features (scoring, leaderboards, game creation) require an active internet connection since they rely on real-time communication with the server. When you come back online, any pending actions will sync automatically.
